STEP 1: (Registration)
Register by completing the online application.
Make $500 USD non-refundable course fee payment.
Username & Password will be issued once your application is approved so you may view your account.
Prep-Materials will be sent to you.
STEP 2: (Select Class Date)
You must login to the ACT website and schedule the date of your training by selecting the "View/Update Profile" button on the "My Account" page and selecting the appropriate class dates.
DL-4 and DL-3 students must successfully complete their on-line exams before they can select class dates.
A course
calendar is available for your review.
If you are not ready for the class date you have selected, you may transfer to a later class with no penalty as long as you notify us at least 10 days in advance and make the appropriate change in your profile.
The ADX classes start on Monday at 8am and finish on Saturday evening.

STEP 3: (Final Payment)
Pay the $3,470 USD remaining course fee 10-days before your ADX class begins.
STEP 4: (Course Work)
Successfully complete the 5-Week Intense Residency Training or for
DL-4 and DL-3 students, the
4-Week or 3-Week Intense Residency Training.
The first 2 to 3 weeks of the course prepares you for the ADX Dispatcher Knowledge Written Exam.
A test prep manual and a test prep software CD are included with your
prep-materials so that
you may become familiar with the material.
STEP 5: (FAA ADX Dispatcher Knowledge Exam)
Successfully complete the FAA ADX Aircraft Dispatcher Computer Knowledge Written Exam.
This test will be scheduled for you after the first few weeks of ADX class.
You must pass this test with a score of 70% or higher to complete this requirement.
This test is the most difficult part of the course.

Note: If the Aircraft Dispatcher test is not shown, take the ATP Part 121 exam for practice but you must sit for the ADX Aircraft Dispatcher test.

STEP 6: (FAA Oral/Practical Test)
Successfully complete the FAA Oral/Practical Test "checkride" within 90 days of course work.
ACT staff will help scheduled this exam immediately following your class.
The last 2 weeks of the course prepares you for the FAA Oral/Practical Test.
The FAA Oral/Practical Test consists of a U.S. domestic manual flight plan from City A to City B with a Boeing 737-300.
ACT instructors prepare you for this exercise in class.
You have 4 hours to complete this followed by a minimum 2-hour oral exam on all the material you have studied.
This "checkride" with the FAA examiner is open-book.
If successful, you will be issued a temporary Dispatcher license.
The FAA will send an original certificate within 120 days.
